Snowbird Comp.
Well Im now in Salt Lake, for the comp at the bird. It was held under bullit proof icy this morning. The men went first, and I got the lucky draw of number 5 which under normal conditions would have been an advantage, but not today. The later numbered skiers would benefit today, because of the sun exposure. For me it wasn't my best day of skiing ever, I choose a line that I thought was safe and strong enought. But I choose to change it at the last mintue, which wasn't a good idea. I chose an air that I hadn't scouted and that is never a good move. But on a lower cliff near the end of my run, I landed casing the lip of an up side of a mogle and it sent me into a tumble. And in a matter of seconds my week and event was over. Now all I can do is think about Jackson and getting personal revenge.

US Freeskiing Tour:Telluride, Crested Butte
Well Im home in Mount Shasta from my first three week road warrior tour. The first stop was the US Freesking Open in Telluride, CO. I stayed with a friend in Ophir, just outside of Telluride. We were able to tour right from the front door. So my Legend Pros got a lot of use, during that first two weeks. The comps. went well I finish the first day in 40th, just making the cut for the next day by the skin of my teeth. So being the first skier of the Final, the hill was mine. I had the run I needed and moved from 40th to 7th in one run. Qualifying for the 10 men super final, which I made the best of again, finishing the run 3rd. But because I qualified so low it was hard to move into the top 5. I ended the event in 6th. It was great, and that night it started snowing, and the powder skiing was on!!
One week later I drove up to Crested Butte for my second event of the trip, The US Extremes. It was held on what could be said as poor conditions, about two feet of snow. But all 120 men had to ski it, so I gave it, I finished the event in 17th, with two falls. I fell on the first run of both days, so thus I had to use my ace in the hole, and ski my ass of to make it into the finals, and super finals. On the two runs I stayed on my feet I finished 6th on both runs. So my skiing is there I just need to stay on my feet for the coming comes.
I begin my next tour on Monday, heading to Snowbird for US National/World Tour Stop 2. So all the big guns will be there. After the Bird Im off to Jackson, and Kirkwood. But for right now Im skiing Shasta powder with friends and family. Its good to be home recharging before Im out again.
